The UD-M30 pairs a CD transport with FM and AM tuners offering RDS RadioText display, alongside Denon’s Source Direct function, which is designed to bypass unnecessary circuitry for the shortest possible signal path when required. Around the back, the receiver offers two sets of line-level in/out connections for use with external sources or recorders, digital optical output, and a switchable mono/stereo mode. Despite its slim 210mm-wide cabinet, the UD-M30 was designed as part of a modular system, with the option to add Denon’s matching CDR-M30 CD recorder or DRR-M30 cassette deck, both operable via the same remote handset as the main receiver.
