Maxell UD 35-180 Reel-to-Reel Tape — 10.5″ Metal Reel, Opened, Excellent Condition
This is a single reel of Maxell UD 35-180 ¼” recording tape, supplied on a 10.5″ metal precision reel. The box has been opened, but the reel presents in excellent condition. The UD (Ultra Dynamic) series was Maxell’s professional-use, hi-output, extended range, low-noise formulation on a polyester base, sitting below the later back-coated UD-XL/XLI tapes in Maxell’s range but well regarded in its own right for general recording and mastering use. The “35-180” designation indicates 35 micron total thickness, 1,100m (3,600ft) in length, giving 192 minutes of recording time across both directions at 7½ips.
