The Linn LP12 is a classic..still on-sale today with a number of upgrade options upto the ‘ultimate’ Linn and you can spend £15,000+ doing this.
Some of the Linn upgrades have eyewatering prices… the Linn Keel for example is a subchassis at £2660. Now I’m not saying it’s not worth that…but not everybody wants to spend huge amounts on their deck…but many do want value for money upgrades that actually do sound better.
For the last few months Stackaudio have been developing a range of upgrades that offer a similar upgrade performance as Linn upgrades…but at quite reasonable prices.. and finally now production parts are available and we are now able to offer sale of these …AND can offer the fitting service, so you don’t need to do it yourself. To fit all the various parts is not difficult, but does require a FULL STRIPDOWN of the deck and subsequent re-build, setting up the suspension springing and aligning everything as you go. As a guide..this took me a good 3 hours to do.
Below are some images taken during the conversion of our demo deck…which is available now to audition…
As there are a number of different parts available, some will take longer than others, with the subchassis and top plate being the most involved.
Cost for me to do a full upgrade is £100 plus whatever parts you choose…. see below for all prices..
If you have a Valhalla power board, I can arrange to re-capacitor that at the same time at a discounted price
