Design Highlights
The C521i is the type of CD player NAD became well known for: practical, unfussy and focused on doing the basics properly. It was aimed at buyers who wanted a dedicated CD source to partner a conventional stereo amplifier.
The coaxial digital output is useful because it gives the player a second role as a CD transport. This means it can be connected to an external DAC, processor or digital-input amplifier while still retaining normal analogue output for conventional systems.
Its simple front-panel layout also makes it easy to use, with the main playback functions available without working through complex menus.
