The K-R619 is built around a motor-driven cassette door and an electronic real-time tape counter, with automatic tape type selection covering the deck’s supported formulations. A large fluorescent display with a 9-segment peak-level meter and peak-hold function makes accurate level-setting straightforward, and the deck is fully remote-controllable. For dubbing from CD, the deck offers single-button automated recording via its Album, Fade, and Time Edit functions: Album checks whether the final track on a CD will fit on the current cassette side and, if not, carries it over to the other side; Fade smoothly fades out the recording at the end of side A and resumes on side B; and Time Edit calculates which combination of tracks from a CD will fit on a single side of tape. An Auto-Space mute function with automatic blank-space insertion is also fitted, along with a track-search function for quickly locating the start of a song.
