The SU-A800MKII accommodates several analogue sources, with dedicated CD, tuner and AUX inputs alongside two tape connections. These tape connections provide recording outputs as well as playback inputs, making the amplifier useful for anyone retaining a cassette deck in their system.
Bass, treble and balance controls allow straightforward adjustment, while the tone control can be bypassed when preferred. A front headphone socket provides an alternative to loudspeaker listening, and the supplied remote makes everyday operation more convenient. The built-in phono input suits a moving-magnet cartridge; this example does not have switchable MM/MC selection.
