£30 minimum cost/diagnosis charge. Gets half an hour of my experience probing & diagnosing.

Often we collect this as a deposit upfront..and would be the max you pay if a repair isn’t possible.

If it is necessary to speak to me, Andy the engineer, this is possible, but BEFORE 10am please. Do please keep it brief – so I can get back to my bench. Thanks

When ringing to enquire…please do give a brief rundown of what your symptoms are and what you’ve tried to eliminate etc.   ‘ON THE DAY’ appointments  or emergency needs  MUST be booked in advance thanks

I’ve run a busy repair dept. for 50 years now and can fix to component level most of the common & more unusual Hi-Fi items that get brought in. We get many recommends from other dealers, manufacturers and the web.

I love & specialise in 1960’s-90’s Japanese & English hifi. So Post 2000 Chinese or European brands are more problematic.. more details on this page.

Note .. I get so many emails/ WhatsApps/texts a day to answer-   new enquiries, updates on existing jobs, complex discussions on work needed- it can mean some replies get overlooked

NO HOME CINEMA AMPS any more- just no chance to fix.

And I have now ceased the SONY WMD6 Walkman & all small portables. (eyesight !)
